God does not answer needs, God answers Faith [The Power of the Seed]

Today you will receive a treasure, a revelation that was given by Jesus .Your life can be transformed if you receive this Word in your heart; if believe in it, it will produce many fruits and in a few days or months you will be able to share with others the miracles you’ve received.

I believe that God never changes, the Word of God will never change and everything that is written in the Bible, it is for us today. (Hebrews 13:8)

We need to be like the primitive church. Miracles should be something natural that happens every time the church gets together.

How many of you believe that God is a God of miracle? How many of you believe that You will experience the supernatural of God in these days?

I am full of expectation for the next year, because I know that God has many things to accomplish among us and through us here in this Town. Great things are to come, but if we are not connected with the Holy Spirit and full of God’s Word we will miss out on what God has prepared for us!

We all have promises from God but miracles are the result of a heart full of Faith.

In this series of messages we will learn through the word of God that: God does not answer needs, God answers Faith!

The world is full of needs, but God only answers to those who have faith.

We often think that if we really need something – God will do it because we are in need, but this is not true.  God does not answer needs, He answers Faith!

We all need to be saved, isn’t that right? But God will only save those who believe.

God’s desire is that all men should be saved, but it is faith that will lead the person to salvation. The righteous should live by faith! By faith you are saved (Ephesians 2:8)

Not even Jesus could perform miracles in his hometown, because of the unbelief of the people.

“Jesus left that part of the country and returned with his disciples to Nazareth, his hometown. And because of their unbelief, He could not do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them.”

Mark 6:1, 5 NLT

Jesus performed miracles everywhere, but the Bible says that He could not do any miracle in his town. He wanted to but he was prevented from it because of their lack of faith.

God has many promises for your life, God has miracles for you. He has all the power to perform them and He wants to do it, but your unbelief can prevent God from performing these miracles.

Let’s now look at the power of seed.

In The Gospel of Mark chapter 4, we have the parable of the sower and I know many of you are familiar with the parable. It begins with the sower sowing seed.

“4 Then Jesus said: a farmer went out to sow his seed. “As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.

6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root

7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain.

8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.” Mark 4: 4 – 8 NIV

Later on the disciples asked Jesus what did it mean and Jesus said:

“Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?” Mark 4:13 NIV

Jesus said that this parable is key and if you don’t understand it you will not understand any other parable. This parable is a treasure and you need this revelation. If you don’t understand it, how will you understand any other teaching?

Jesus said : “The sower sows the Word” and that is what I’m doing today; are you receiving this Word?

Jesus taught us that there are 4 types of people who receive the word God and you are one of these four.

“The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.”  Mark 4:14-15 NKJV

The sower sows the Word. And Satan comes immediately to try and snatch up the Word that’s sown in a person’s heart. That means the devil comes immediately after you receive the Word of God.

That means the devil is already here, Jesus said he comes immediately because he is after the Word. He doesn’t care if you’re pretty, if you’re handsome, if you’re talented , if you are new in the faith , or if you are leader in the church.

Jesus said : as soon I teach you something the devil will come to try to distract you and steal the Word of God from your heart. The thing he is going after is the Word.

Apostle Paul said

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17

In other words, God’s Word is filled with faith and to have faith you must listen to it and really take it in!

If you let the devil steal the Word out from your heart, you will be a weak and defeated and low impact christian. That’s why the devil will do everything for you not to come to the Church Services , he will do everything for you not to go to the cell Meetings, he will do everything for you not to come to the Bible School.

If he steals the Word from your heart you will never be a strong Christian, who is full of faith and who will experience supernatural things.

The Word builds us up. It brings us into our inheritance in Christ. It’s our light in a dark place. It’s food for our spirit.

The second kind of people are those seeds that fall on the rocky soil;

“These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble.” Mark 4:16-17 NKJV

The second kind are those are people who get excited when they first hear but they don’t have deep enough roots system and later when afflictions, problems, persecutions come, they are weakened and fall.

The third kind of person are those that are sown among thorns.

“Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.”

Mark 4:18-19

The Word takes root, but worries, anxieties, the cares of life and love for money and this world start coming in and these things are like thorns, they choke out the Word of God.

“Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”” Mark 4:20 NIV

But Jesus speaks about another kind of person and that aren’t those who receive the Word the seeds fall on good ground and produce a harvest.

Why do some people have harvests while others produce nothing? Why are some people always sharing testimonies while others have nothing to tell?

If the seed is planted on good soil the earth produce the fruits. Our part is to get the seed in good ground and to keep it there.

You receive the Word, you believe in it and keep confessing what you believe.

There is life in the seed. It will produce if we just put it in the soil of our heart.

For example: I have here a (seed) tulip bulb. Here I have the entire blueprint of a beautiful flower. It’s all locked inside of this seed. Inside of it abides a beautiful flower, the leaves, all of its gorgeous colour, even its aroma; it’s all in the seed.

There is life in it, and if you just plant it, all of it will be unlocked and it will grow and you will have a beautiful flower.

So, it is the same with the Word of God. There is life. There is divine life. There is healing. There is supernatural life in the seed of God’s Word.

But the question is: How do you get the life and power that are locked in the Word of God to be released over your life?

It’s pretty simple: Plant it. Get it into good soil in your heart and keep it there.

I will repeat what I said in the beginning of the preaching: God does not answer needs, God answers Faith!

It is not because you have a need that God will perform the miracle in your life!

God’s promises and miracles are the result of a heart full of Faith: a heart that keeps the seed of God’s word and as a result miracles flourish.

I want to give you an example from God’s word about healing. How many here believe that God wishes a healthy life for you?

If you’re in good health right now and you’re pain free you have to thank God for it. There are some people that would give anything to have a healthy life.

“My son, give attention to my Words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22

Health in Hebrew is the same word for medicine. The Bible says when you pay attention, when you turn your ears, when you keep them in your heart, then God’s Word will work as medicine for all your flesh. That means that all the parts of your body can receive healing.

He said: give attention to it, incline your ears. Keep it before your eyes, keep it as the central focus of your life.

All of this refers to the parable of the sower; we must keep the seed on the ground, in the land of our heart.

We get the seed of God’s Word in the ground by hearing, by reading, by focusing on it, by giving undivided attention to it.

How many times I’m preaching here and I can see people looking around, talking, looking at their mobiles, or thinking about what they will eat after service and satan succeeds at stealing the seed of God’s Word.

When this supernatural seed finds its way into the soil of our hearts, it causes miracles in our lives.

It’s not enough to have the Word of God in your head or in your Bible, you need to plant it into your heart and believe in the miracle and the seed will produce the miracle.

Faith is something simple, not complicated. Jesus said that we must have faith like children.

Miracles testimonies:

– My mammy’s testimony – She was new believer in Christ, she had a little lump (growing bone) on her left hand and needed surgery to file the bone down. She asked me, pray for me and anoint me with oil and I will be healed. I prayed, she went to bed and the next morning the lump disappeared.

– Elizabeth – she had insomnia, for 10 years she could not sleep, she wasn’t a believer, she was in church for the first time, she received a prayer and was totally healed.

– Marilene , she had a lump and pain in her hand and after prayer it disappeared.

“Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food, And they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”  Psalms 107:17-20 NKJV

He sent His Word and healed them. Whenever God sends His Word, it comes in the form of a seed.

Every seed has to be planted.

Please, listen: This is God’s medicine; it will work as health for your flesh, if you only follow the prescription.

If you stay in the Word, if you continue on believing, if you grab it and keep firm you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

God’s Word is compared to a seed. When that seed gets planted in a fertile human heart, it can grow to overcome sickness, anxiety, depression, fear, and all other obstacles.

The key is preparing the soil of your heart for God’s Word to takes root and flourish.

If you understand this parable and its principle your life will be transformed and changed.

How many of you received this Word in your heart?

God has many promises to you and He wants to perform miracles in your life, but God does not answer needs, He answers Faith!

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Start declaring that the mountains in front of you will be moved!

Let’s start using our Faith, because faith is the confidence in what you are waiting for and the assurance of what you do not see, but what you believe.

God bless you and your family and next week we will receive the second message of this series.
