Pastor Marcio was born in Brazil into a Catholic family and was the first in his family to be born again, followed a few years later by all other family members. He had a profound encounter with Jesus around the age of 18, which transformed his life. He then started preaching and making disciples everywhere: in his college, on the streets, in prison cells, and in hospitals.
Under the guidance of his pastors, he became a house meeting leader, a pastor, the head of the Intercession Ministry, and one of the leading pastors at Shalom Christian Fellowship in Uberlândia, in the southeast of Brazil.
As a church, Shalom has the mission of preaching the gospel and spreading the kingdom and love of God, actively holding services and house meetings all over the city.
The church in Uberlândia has over 5,000 members and over 600 house meetings, as well as social projects such as daycares, primary and secondary schools, after-school support for children, a theology university, food banks, skill-enhancement classes like patchwork for women, and psychological and physical rehabilitation centers. All of this is because our main vision is to bless those in need. We are also actively involved in establishing many churches in Brazil and throughout the nations, fulfilling Jesus’ call to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations.
Under a missionary calling, Marcio and his family were sent to Ireland by their mother church in 2008. Pastor Marcio and his wife, Pastor Fabiana (musician and psychotherapist), have been married for 35 years and have two daughters, Lycia and Alana.
