Nothing can silence us

God made us unique, and with a language!

God made us capable of expressing will, thoughts, and feelings.

We were created in the image and likeness of the Father with a command: to exercise dominion over all creation through our mouth. (Genesis 1:26-28)

“Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’” (Genesis 1:26-28 NIV)

God SPOKE, and it was DONE. (Genesis 1:3)

“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”

(Genesis 1:3 NIV)

God BLESSED, and it was DONE. (Genesis 2:3)

“Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”

(Genesis 2:3 NIV)

  • By listening to another voice, Adam and Eve fell: communication with darkness brought the ruin of humanity.

  • Satan began to SPEAK and exercise dominion, and man began to be SILENT.

Jesus is the Word of God. Jesus is the voice of Heaven that broke the silence.

He came to save us and give us back HIS voice.

  1. Do not be silent before demons (Mark 11:23-27)

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (Mark 11:23-25 NIV)

“The seventy-two returned with joy and said, ‘Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.’ He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.’” (Luke 10:17-19 NIV)

  1. Do not be silent before adversities (Luke 18:35-43 – The blind man of Jericho)

“As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him, ‘Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.’ 38 He called out, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ 39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’ 40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41 ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ ‘Lord, I want to see,’ he replied. 42 Jesus said to him, ‘Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.’ 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.”

(Luke 18:35-43 NIV)

  • Fight for the next generation.

  • Use your mouth to instruct and bless.

“One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.’” (Acts 18:9 NIV)

Be courageous. (Acts 23:11, Esther 4:14)

“The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.””

Acts 23:11 NIV

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

(Esther 4:14 NIV)

  1. Do not be silent before injustice (Proverbs 31:8-9)

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

(Proverbs 31:8-9 NIV)

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.”

(Ephesians 5:11-13 NIV)

  1. Do not be silent before this anti-God, evil system that seeks to devour our families and the church (Amos 2:11-12)

“I also raised up prophets from among your children and Nazirites from among your youths. Is this not true, people of Israel?’ declares the Lord. ‘But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.’”

(Amos 2:11-12 NIV)

We are called to be a prophetic voice in this generation!

“One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.’” (Acts 18:9 NIV)

Intercession

“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.”

(Isaiah 62:1 NIV)

“I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.”

(Isaiah 62:6-7 NIV)

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

(Romans 12:1 NIV)

Consecrate your life, your mouth, your voice to the Lord.

Our destiny is determined by what our mouth professes.

“But what does it say? ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

(Romans 10:8-9 NIV)

Prophesy, bless, and exercise dominion of the Kingdom of God through your mouth.
