Responding to God’s Call

We all have a calling from God to follow.

We are called to be God’s people, His exclusive property. He bought you and me, took you and me out of darkness to shine in order for you and me to be used by Him.  He entrust us the ministry of reconciliation of all people and all that is in heaven and on earth to God through the preaching of good news.

1 Peter 2:9 -But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

2 Corinthians 5:18 -All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

God’s Plan

Before the foundation of the world God planned that Jesus was the one who would redeem mankind by paying  the price of death on the cross in our place.  When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become partakers of His death and his resurrected life, we die for sin and our will, because we understand that God’s will is much better than for us and we want to live without guilt and in obedience, returning to the great love which He loved us.  The son who loves the father is reflected in Him and fulfills His will.

1 Peter 1:22-23 -Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.
23 -For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Your life has a purpose

Ephesians 1:4; 11 and 12

4- For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
11- In him we were also chosen,  having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,
12- In order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

Verse 4- Says that you have been chosen when the world was not even there to live for Him.

Verse 11and 12– We have been predestined, there is a decision of God and a purpose to fulfill in accordance with His will. He wants sons and daughters who love him with all their heart and wish to do his will because of that love

He will receive the glory through our lives when we fulfill the purpose.

God is looking for volunteers.

What does volunteer mean?

It means: A person freely offer to do something without payment.

Isaiah 6:8 – Then I  heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?  And I said, Here am I. Send me!

Although God has a plan for our lives, He doesn’t impose his plans. He seeks for those who have volunteered to do  his will in return for his great love.

He makes the call and volunteers present themselves for the service.

Who is the greatest volunteer in the all universe?

It is God because He gave his one and only son “Jesus Christ”

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

In this verse we can see his great love for all mankind, as his sons and daughters we must respond that love by doing his will.

How are we going to do that?

Through the prayer, seeking him with all our heart, when we do that He will reveal us his specific plan for our  lives.

Jeremiah 29:13– You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

The Parable of the Bags of Gold- Matthew 25:14-30

” USE IT, OR LOSE IT “

Jesus told about a rich man who was going away on a trip and who distributed different resources to each of his servants.  Then he said “Do business with these until I come back” Two servants invested what they were given, but the third didn’t, when the master came back he asked for an accounting. The first two were praised and rewarded for their diligence, but when Jesus told this story, the ending seemed unfair. He took away from the man who didn’t invest and gave his talent to the most fruitful investor, firmly announcing this law of the Kingdom  “To everyone who has, more will be given, but from him who does not have, even What he has will be taken away” verse 29. In other words, if you use what is given to you, you will gain more. If you fail to use what is given to you, you will lose even what you think you have.  Whether in physical, intellectual, financial, or relational dealings, whatever is given you, however small it is, use it.  Use it diligently, and use it on an ever -increasing scale. Set goals to increase whatever you do. And make sure that whatever you do, it is done to the glory of God.

Colossians 3:17- And Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all

In the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

This is the secret of the Kingdom, which guarantees success to any Christian who applies it.
