Today I’m going to talk about the future of all of us. The word of God has many prophecies that speak about this future. How many of you want to know about your future?
The Bible has many prophecies to be fulfilled, the most frequent is the return of Jesus and the second most spoken in the Bible is the The day of the great Judgement!
Let’s read some verses about the Day of Judgment.
“Because God has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.””
Acts 17:31 NKJV
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”
II Corinthians 5:10 NKJV
“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,”
Hebrews 9:27 NKJV
“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”
Revelation 20:11-12 NKJV
In real life, sometimes we have a scheduled appointment, but you decide not to go, then you call and cancel your appointment.
We all have 2 appointments already scheduled which none of us can cancel and we will all go through them.
The day of our death and the day of judgement – they will not be on the same day! If you think only of death, it makes you sin : Let’s feast and drink for tomorrow we die. Isaiah 22:13
If you take into account that after death, that you have an appointment, this makes you evaluate how you live.
How you experience your present is completely shaped by what you believe your ultimate future to be. Live thoughtfully today and you won’t have to live regretfully tomorrow
Why is judgement something necessary?
1- Because of the INJUSTICE OF LIFE
Life is unjust and God will not close His eyes to all the injustice in this world!
How many children suffering, being abused, how many women being abused, social injustice, evil governments that let the population die, governments that steal money from health, food and the people are suffering.
The world has enough food for everyone, but many are starving, there is no good place to live, no doctors, medicine, while others have a life of luxury.
Have you ever been through situations where you said: this is not fair, maybe you even said: why did God do this to me? It wasn’t God! It is this evil, fallen world that lives in sin and is far away from God.
Life is not fair at all! Some suffer a lot, others suffer nothing, some have a lot, others have nothing, because of social injustice.
David also had this thought Psalms 73: 3-14
David said: Why the ungodly prosper. Why evil people die old in peace! I tried to have a pure life and I suffered. Psalms 73:3-4. Many times the innocent are suffering!
THE INJUSTICES OF LIFE REQUIRE THAT JUSTICE BE DONE ONE DAY
Not only because of the injustices of life, but THE JUSTICE OF GOD REQUIRES THIS!
God has noted all the injustice of the wicked – If God never punishes the wicked – He will never be a good God! That’s why there needs to be the day of Judgement! Because He is a good God!
If God closes His eyes to all evil and sin committed, we cannot call Him a good God.
God is the Father, King and Judge! Your justice requires the day of judgement
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
Galatians 6:7 NKJV
There will be a day of reckoning and to set accounts.
Many say: I do things wrong and nothing happens to me, God does not judge people every week, but one day He will judge.
WHY IS THERE THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT WHEN EVERYONE WILL BE JUDGED TOGETHER – SAME DAY?
Everyone will wait for the day of the judgement ! The answer is simple: IF JUSTICE HAS TO BE DONE – JUSTICE HAS TO BE SEEN!
Justice needs to be seen! – God scheduled a PUBLIC day for the day of judgement when his justice will be seen and everyone will see a Just God!
The people of God, the servants of God who have already died because they are Christians demand justice!
“And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?””
Revelation 6:10 NKJV
Until when you judge and avenge our blood? Christians have been killed every day! More than 100,000 Christians are murdered in the world and nothing has been done.
JUSTICE HAS TO BE DONE AND JUSTICE HAS TO BE SEEN, so it needs the day of the Judgement.
We want everyone’s judgement – except ours, what we blame in others, we apologise in ourselves.
Scientists say that human beings are like this because of the environment, biologists say we are like this because of Gene/DNA, psychologists say we are like this because of parenting.
EACH ONE OF US IS THE RESULT OF THE CHOICES WE MADE
Did you know that you are responsible for your body? Did you know that you are responsible for what you have become? Many do not assume and put the blame on others: I got into the wrong job, I got into the wrong school, I married the wrong person, I don’t eat food and get fat, my friends are bad.
We are the result of our choices and the day of judgement will reveal our responsibility.
YOU DON’T NEED TO FEAR ANYTHING – IF YOU WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE, God will never blame you for something you are not responsible for, don’t worry!
But you will be condemned for what is your responsibility! The whole Bible shows that God has feelings, he is happy, sad and often speaks of the Wrath of God and in the Bible the day of Judgement is connected to the day of the Wrath of God! The day of Judgement will be the day when your wrath will be shown!
“and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” Revelation 6:16-17 NKJV
On that day people will prefer the mountains to fall on them. They will rather be crushed by an earthquake than face the face of God and the Lamb.
Solve things now, so you don’t have to face the wrath when it manifests.
What will the day of the judgement be like?
1 – Judgement DAY IS FOR EVERYONE – without exception! ALL HUMAN BEINGS WHO DIED WILL RISE – Believers and unbelievers.
2- Each one will have to face alone. (No one will hide behind husband, wife, father, pastor)
3- Jesus will be the Judge and not God – Jesus human, who lived like you and me, because the judge has to be one who lived like us, So God, the father will not be the judge.
4- What is the evidence (fact) that will prevail on the day of the trial to be convicted or acquitted?
- A) It will not advance your APPEARANCE. How do you appear to other people, because sometimes we can deceive others, hide feelings, hide the truth – But that day appearance will not be worth anything!
- B) on that day the evidence will not be WHAT YOU PROFESS! (What do you say)
Many people profess that they love, that they have faith (Mt 7:21) On the day of judgement what you profess will have no value!
- C) Your reputation will have no value – What people think and say about you will have no value.
WHAT WILL BE THE EVIDENCE, WHICH WILL COUNT OR HAVE VALUE ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT?
There are 2 things – Our works and Our Words – What we did, what we said
“For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” James 3:2 NKJV
He who does not stumble on a word, who restrains his tongue, this man is perfect.
How many of you would be happy if there was a big screen and everything you did was filmed and shown here in front for everyone?
If everything you said was recorded and played for everyone to hear now?
“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.” Matthew 12:36 NKJV
Of every futile, frivolous, idle word we will give account on the day of judgement.
“in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.” Romans 2:16 NKJV
God, through Christ Jesus, judges the secrets of men. Our secrets will be revealed.
One of the most serious things Jesus said: On the day of judgement THE SECRETS OF MAN’S HEART WILL BE JUDGED.
“For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.” Luke 12:2-3 NKJV
Jesus said that EVERYTHING THEY SAID IN THE HIDDEN WILL BE REVEALED / ON THE ROOFS. Judgement Day will be the day when the secrets of man’s heart will be judged — not just the things people have seen! What was in secret, hidden, hidden!
GOD IS SO JUST AND RIGHTEOUS THAT HE WILL ONLY JUDGE PEOPLE BY THE LIGHT THEY HAVE RECEIVED.
Some people ask: Those who have never heard of Jesus? The answer is clear: those who have never heard will never be condemned for what they have never heard!
To be acquitted, just say: God, I’ve always done everything my conscience said was right.
Each one will be judged by the light he received (Mt 11: 23-24)
God will never condemn you for something you don’t know! On that day the books will be opened – there is your life – your works and words. Everything is in the book! The only way and the only hope of escaping this condemnation is if his name is in the book of the life of the Lamb.
We need to be careful as we live to keep our name in the Book of Life! Your personal choices and decisions are responsible for keeping or removing! Make an evaluation of your Works and your WORDS.
Maybe you need to change your words, or change attitudes!?

Revelation 20:12 NKJV
“And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 20:15 NKJV
“But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
Revelation 21:27 NKJV
God is just and righteous and merciful and He is giving everyone the opportunity to repent, to return to Him, to have our name written in the book of life and on that day we will be before Him with Joy for being called a Good and Faithful Servant.
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1 NKJV
Jesus was condemned for you, He paid the price to forgive you and if you accept Him and serve Him there is no condemnation for you !
Serve Jesus, love Him, serve the church that is his body on this earth and that day you will be received by God as good and faithful servant. There is a great future waiting for you , live for Jesus and with Jesus!
