Why Am I teaching and preaching so many messages about faith ?
Because faith comes by hearing the Word of God !
Romans 10:17
It doesn’t say faith comes if you hear the word of God , but by hearing, it’s a continuous tense , you have to hear , hear , hear , and by hearing , the Word of God will enter into your heart , then you believe with your heart and speak with your mouth and the miracles happen !
Paul the apostle said 1 Co 13:9 “for we know in part”
If you only know in part, there is a part you don’t know about and so the Lord can show us the parts we don’t know.
We can see mistakes that have been made , sometimes you are saying and doing things that is not right.
“My people are being destroyed from lack of knowledge”
Hosea 4:6
Here God is saying “my people” , or the people of God has been destroyed, they have been suffering because of their lack of knowledge or if they know they are not practicing what they know.
“Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us”
Romans 15:4
Everything that is written in the Bible was written for our instruction and to teaches us !
Today’s message is : The Power of Words
It’s impossible to speak about faith without speaking about confession.
You can not separate Faith from Confession, you can’t separate believing from speaking!
What you speak and your confession are the number one way that you release your faith !
I want to read now our texts that we have been looking at these past weeks.
Mark 11:23 and 2 corinthians 4:13 that speaks about the power of a faith filled confession.
But I want you to look to at these verses as though we had not heard them before
Because when you receive a revelation it’s real to you , when something is real inside of you, you get excited about it.
In Mark 11:14 Jesus spoke to the Fig Tree and He said: “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again”.
You could not see it at the moment , but the scripture told us that over a period of time the fig tree dried up from the roots.
Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it obeyed his words.
Jesus also spoke to the wind and it obeyed Him.
He spoke to the waves and it obeyed Him.
He spoke to demons and they obeyed Him ,
He spoke to this tree and it obeyed Him.
11:21 When they saw that tree had withered away from the roots , they were amazed about it ,
11:22 Jesus Said : Have faith in God , have the God-kind of Faith !
What is faith ?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
Mark 11:23
Listen , this is Jesus talking here , He is the one who said : if you say it and not doubt in your heart but believe , you will have whatever you say.
Jesus said : Whoever you believe in , whatever you say will be done and you will have whatever you say.
If you believe in your heart and say it with your mouth and it come into being !
You need to hear , hear and hear till the point you are confident and really expect it to happen .
When you are saying it , you are hearing it and faith comes by hearing!
Even if you don’t believe it , start saying it and keep on saying it long enough it will begin to get into you and you will believe it.
When you say it out of a heart of faith , when you say it in faith it will release power to change things.
It works ! That is how you got born again.
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,”
II Corinthians 4:13
We have the same spirit of faith that was in Abraham, the same spirit of faith that was in David when he faced Goliath, the same spirit of faith that was in Joshua when he looked up and told the Sun stand still .
The same spirit of faith that was in Daniel when he was on the Lions Den and the Lion’s mouths ware shut closed. The same spirit of Faith that was in Jesus , in Paul , in Peter when they walked the earth.
2 Co 4:13 He mentions how this spirit of faith operates: I believed and I spoke , we also believe and and therefore speak.
You cannot separate faith from confession! You can’t separate believing from speaking.
Speaking , using words is the number one way that you release your faith.
Some people say : Marcio , Faith without works is dead and dead faith doesn’t work.
I need to act my faith !
How do I release my faith ? How do I act on my faith ?
By saying it !
My brothers and sisters : Saying is acting on the Word !
Saying is releasing faith when you use your words to express what you believe.
Think about creation – God said : Let there be light.
Through the Words of His mouth power though His Faith was released and the Holy Spirit moved to bring it into life.
Another example is our salvation:
When you were born again , you heard the Word , you believed in your heart and you confessed with your mouth Jesus is Lord and when you confessed your faith , that opened the door for the power of God to come in and make you a new creation and new creature in Christ Jesus.
That’s is the greatest miracles of all – healing and blessing are lesser miracles.
Be careful with the words you use !
Proverbs 18:20-21
“A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Proverbs 18:20-21
The message Version says:
“Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.”
Proverbs 18:21 MSG
Words are serious business. And, as believers, we need to get serious about learning how to use them.
Words can kill you and words can give you life and you have to choose the words you speak.
I have a close testimony of how powerful our words are! my father in law !
Since I met Fabiana’s father he was always saying : I won’t live past my 50s . I heard him saying that many times . When he was 49 years old he passed away!
Our words have power over death and life !
We need to be careful with the way we phrase things too! Our mouths are very powerful.
I always heard people saying :
“My” allergies , “my” rheumatism, “my” arthritis , that’s “my” bad ankle , “my” problem.
Stop saying that is “your” problem ! If so this allergy will be yours forever !
Some people say : “every time” it comes around flu season my kids always first one to get it ! Every time this time of year. You are declaring it so it’s going to happen!
I can’t do this , this sickness is incurable, I’m a dumb, I will never learn this , I will never be able to do that.
Some people say to their own children:
you’re a dumb , you’re stupid, you’re useless , you always do everything wrong , you’re bad , you will never learn , you are a burden ,
Or you say about yourself:
I’m stubborn, I’m an idiot , I will never be able to do this ,
Why would you say that ? The Bible says you’re going to eat the fruit of your mouth.
Your Words are destroying your life and your family!
You don’t realise but you are opening the door for your defeat, or you’re actually inviting death and destruction over your life , you’re calling it close to you and it will stay with you and with your children, your family and with your church.
But you could to create something else different !
You should say instead :
Jesus took all my infirmities and I’m healed ! (Isaiah 53;4-5)
The Lord is my shepherd , I shall not want.(Psalm 23:1)
God in Christ will supply all my needs (Philippians 4:19)
I have the mind of Christ (1 Co 2:16)
Me and my family will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15)
My children are a such blessing , they are intelligent, they are going to prosper and they going to have a great future.(Psalm 127:3-5)
Greater is the one who is in me than the one who is in the World (1 John 4:4)
But then you might say , but I’m not saying the truth : because I’m not wise , I’m weak , I’m not strong , but even you are weak , the bible says that you have to say : I’m strong !
“Let the weak say, ‘I am strong”
Joel 3:10
You have to say what the bible says about you , when you say it you are calling thing that do not exist into existence !
“As the Scriptures say, “I have made you a father of many nations.” This is true before God, the one Abraham believed—the God who gives life to the dead and speaks of things that don’t yet exist as if they are real.”
Romans 4:17
The bible says we have to call things which do not exist as though they did !
The principle of calling things that are not as though they were is the spiritual principle through which everything physical becomes manifest. God created light by calling for “light” when only darkness was there. Jesus used this same method, calling the lepers clean, and the dead to life, and peace to the storm.
Jesus did that.
Lazarus was dead , but what Jesus did say ? He’s sleeping!!
Stop saying what you are seeing! Jesus always said what He wanted to see .
Jesus didn’t look to that circumstance as something impossible !
Jesus never talked about what he saw, He always talked about what he wanted to see !
Remember : You will have whatever you say !
Jesus said : you’re going to receive whatever you say !
Is your job to correct your confession and the words that comes out of your mouth.
It’s your job to correct your speech ! Work on yourself , pay attention to the words that comes out of you.
Change your words and you will change your future !
We need to repent from our wrong words and we need to change our words !
We need to be filled with the Word of God and then we are going to start saying what the bible says !
