Weeks ago I started a series of messages, The Power of the Seed , today I will conclude this series.
This series of messages is based on the Parable of the Sower, (Matthew 13, Mark 4 and Luke 8) which according to Jesus, is key for you to understand all the other parables. And the understanding and revelation of this parable will lead you to bear fruits, 30, 60 and 100 times over.
The sower sows the Seed. The Seed is the Word of God. The Seed produces Faith.
God sends His word through the sower, and His word will always come in the form of a seed. But Jesus said that as soon as you receive the word, the devil immediately comes to steal the word from your heart.
It’s not God who decides the type of soil you’re going to be! You receive the seed and you have the responsibility to make it germinate!
Jesus said “IF” the Seed enters the human heart, the Seed will produce many fruits.
Why am I teaching about the power of the Seed ? Because it is this seed that will produce faith in your heart and this faith will produce salvation, deliverance, healing and all kind of miracles in your life.
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
I John 5:4 NKJV
If you want to be a victorious Christian, full of the Holy Spirit, you will have to be full of the seed of God’s Word !
The Seed Produces Faith !
If this seed grows in your heart you will have faith to fight against darkness, against demons, against sin and all circumstances that come against you!
This faith will lead you to persevere and stand firm in Jesus until you reach the Kingdom of Heaven!
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
Hosea 4:6 NKJV
The Greek word here for knowledge means: discernment, revelation.
Knowledge comes from the revelation that the seed produces in our hearts.
God said that many of his people, the christians, people who have already been saved have their lives destroyed by lack of discernment. The lack of revelation has led christians to have a life of defeat.
The greatest miracle that the word of God produces in our lives is salvation!
But your salvation is only the beginning of your life with God on this earth.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith”
Ephesians 2:8 NIV
You were saved by faith, and now you must live by faith!
“Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”” Hebrews 10:38 NKJV
You have been saved by faith, but now your challenge is to keep living every day by faith! You must live by your faith, not by the faith of your pastor but by the faith that the seed produced in your heart!
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6 NLT
How many want to please God? If you live a natural life, as everyone else does, you will not please God!
It’s not hard , it is impossible to please God with no faith or little faith.Because Jesus rebuked those who had little faith and praised those who were courageous and used their faith.
God has a supernatural life planned for you on this earth. Do you agree with this and can you say amen?
“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV
How many here has been saved by God and love Him?
The Bible says that if you love God, your eyes will see things that others do not see, you will hear things that others cannot hear, you will receive directions that others do not get.
Unfortunately there are many Christians who are saved, who were born again, but do not understand that God called us to live a supernatural life by faith.
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”
1 Corinthians 4:20 NIV
God’s kingdom is not seen in talk or only words but in power.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God.” Romans 1:16 NKJV
The Gospel is the power of God for salvation, deliverance, healing and all kind of blessings and miracles.
The Gospel is not just words, the true gospel is the power of God which saves, sets free, heals and transforms.
God’s power is available to all who hears the word, believes, receives in their heart and confesses with their mouths.
I’m preaching about the power of seed. The seed is the word of God.
Years ago I received this seed, my life then was destroyed, I received the word that set me free me and transformed me.
The seed of the word of God produced faith in my heart and as a result, I began to preach the seed to other people and many were saved.
I started praying for sick people and people were healed.
I began to pray for people who were possessed and through faith and the name of Jesus people were freed.
In the beginning of my Christian life I understood that the gospel was not just words, but the manifestation of God’s power to bless other people.
I don’t want to preach a gospel of words, but in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The word of God (Bible) is a book full of miracles. And the Bible teaches me to live a life of miracles.
The disciples and apostles did not live a natural life, the primitive church did not live a normal life, but lived in the supernatural.
What’s missing in churches today? Receiving the seed of God’s word, letting it grow and bearing fruits!
Without faith you displease God! That’s why I, as the pastor of this church, have the responsibility to preach and teach about Faith!
Without Faith you are lost, without faith you will fail, without faith you do not please God. God does not answer needs, God answers faith!
That’s why my responsibility is to challenge you to grow in faith and walk in the supernatural. Because your lack of faith can prevent God from moving in your life.
When God took his people out of Egypt, He intended to take them to Canaan, to the promised land! But the Bible says they never got there because of their unbelief!
“So we see that they could not enter because of their unbelief.” Hebrews 3:19 NKJV
Your unbelief or lack of faith may prevent you from reaching God’s promises and receiving what God has for you!
The word of God is full of promises, God has given you promises, but our unbelief and lack of faith prevents God from acting in our favour!
How many of you want to have a greater faith that pleases God?
The apostles recognised that they didn’t have enough faith.
“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
Luke 17:5 NIV
They realised that and asked: Lord increase our faith !
The Bible says that “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
If we hope for miracles, we must believe in the evidence of things which can not be seen.
So it takes faith to do that . Faith is giving substance to things not seen.
Jesus said :
“So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”
Luke 17:6 NKJV
They asked Jesus to increase their faith !
Do you realise that it’s unscriptural, it’s not biblical to pray for faith ?
Faith doesn’t come by praying !
Faith comes by hearing the Word of God ! Faith comes by receiving the seed of God’s Word. The Seed Produces Faith !
Romans 10:17 the apostle Paul said :
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
This is what I’m doing right now , sowing the seed and if this seed enters your heart, it will produce many fruits. It will produce Faith!
Faith comes by hearing!
The Seed of God’s word is powerful, but it needs to be planted!
“So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed !
FAITH AS A SEED
When we talk about faith as a seed we are saying it must be planted.
In Luke Jesus teaches us again about the kind of faith that moves mountains!
“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” He replied, “If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.” Luke 17:5-6
Jesus was talking about forgiveness: the disciples said to Him: ‘Lord increase our Faith’. As if it was God’s responsibility to increase their faith!
Jesus answers: If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will speak to the mountain and the mountain will obey you!
We must have faith LIKE A SEED!
Original Greek: faith with seed-like features! .
Jesus was not saying that a tiny faith will do, or that having a small faith is enough!
Jesus rebuked small faiths several times! Do you remember? He praised people with great faith! Many times he said, ‘great is your faith!’
In another parable Mark 4 Jesus explains about the mustard seed:
“It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants” Mark 4:31-32 NIV
Jesus speaks of the multiplication power a seed has! It is small, but if you plant it, it will grow as every seed has great potential in it.
We need to exercise our faith, we need to increase the measure of faith we have received!
When the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith, Jesus told them: you have to make your faith grow just like a mustard seed!
Jude said: You have to contend for the faith which was given once and for all! Jude 1:3
But many people are waiting on God to do something!
They are waiting for an angel to come down from heaven to bring a faith package to them.
You have already received a measure of faith and in order to make your faith grow, you have to use the little faith you have received!
“You have Faith, Use It” . Miracles happen when you use the faith you have!
Let’s see the components of Faith….
And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak” 2 Corinthians 4:13
Bible faith is made up of two main components, believing in the heart and saying it with mouth.
Jesus said : “if you have faith like a mustard seed you need to say to the mulberry tree” Luke 17:6
Faith comes by hearing and it is released by speaking.You must have both believing and speaking in order for your faith to work.
We see these same principles mentioned again in Romans in reference to salvation:
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10
We get saved by believing and speaking and we’re supposed to continue to live our lives while exercising these same principles.
Mark 11 is very enlightening: “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23
Jesus did not say you would have whatever you believe in, He said that you will have whatever you say out loud (when you believe it in your heart).
Until your saying agrees with your believing, you aren’t exercising Bible faith or the faith that receives!
It’s not enough to simply agree with the doctrines of the Bible or to nod your head in agreement as the preacher preaches on one of the powerful doctrines. It’s what you’re saying day in and day out about that doctrine that determines what you receive.
You Have Faith, Use it, Faith Speaks !
Testimony: I have prayed for many people with one leg shorter than other and for the 16 people I prayed over, they were instantly healed.
I remember the first time I prayer over someone, I was scared. (If I pray and nothing happens? ) But I remembered Jesus’ Words telling me to simply say it to the mountain and you will have whatever you say!
Then I said: short leg grow longer in Jesus name and I saw it growing in front of my eyes.
Not everyone that I pray for is healed, but I have seen more results day by day. I will keep on growing and fighting for my faith.
I have also failed with my faith , but didn’t give up !
I fight for my faith by reading the Bible, praying, fasting, devoting myself to God!
If we do not make an effort to increase our faith, we can miss out on what God has for us. You need to use the faith you have! You need to put your faith into action!
The more you use your faith, the more miracles you will see.
The more you do exercise your body , the more weight you lose and the stronger you will get but if you do nothing, nothing will change!
Faith is like a muscle – the more you use it, the more it increases in size!
I want to challenge you to use your faith this week! In any situation that might arise! When someone tells you they are sick, in pain, in trouble, you will ask them, can I pray for you?
Why do you need to use your faith ? Not only to receive blessings but for The Name of Jesus to be Glorified !
For the people in Monaghan and Ireland to know that Jesus is Alive, He lives in us and He is Lord of this Church !
He will receive all the Glory for all the miracles performed here!
