We are very happy for all that God has done in our midst. We are especially thankful today, as we celebrate Shalom’s anniversary. In these past 14 years, many people have been blessed, people have been healed, marriages restored, many needs were met, people were freed from addictions and the kingdom of God has been preached through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Last week I brought a message and I will conclude it today.
Today’s Message: The Will of God and the Power of Faith (Part 2)
After my salvation I started experiencing miracles in my own life and of my family and my friends’ lives too.
Life with Jesus is an exciting life, it’s a life of miracles.
God has a will and He wishes to perform miracles in your life, but He will work at the limit of your faith!
Many things don’t happen in our lives, not because of God’s unwillingness, but because of our unbelief. That is not pastor Marcio’s words, they are Jesus’s words!
“And Jesus did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.” Matthew 13:58 NIV
Jesus performed no miracles not because He didn’t want to, but people’s unbelief stopped Him!
Let’s read about how people can receive miracles. (Matthew 8:5-10, 13)
“Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralysed, dreadfully tormented.” And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard it, He marvelled at him, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.”
Matthew 8:5-10, 13 NKJV
Jesus marvelled at him! Jesus was marvelled and it was not by his disciples, not by a rabbi, not by a scholar of the Torah, not by someone who studied theology but a man who wasn’t at all religious.
Who was him? He was a centurion, a Roman soldier,
He had a huge amount of faith in who Jesus was and what He was able to do.
He said I am not worthy of You coming under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
You can see that people of faith are humble; This centurion said: I’m not worthy of you coming into my house.
Some people are arrogant and proud, they also think they are so worthy, so good, they are so religious because they give tithes and offerings… But if you go closer to Jesus, and seek His presence, you will see your own sinfulness as you see more of His Holiness!
The more you give your life to Jesus, the more you understand : I’m not worthy but Worthy is the Lamb who was slain and everything I get is because of Jesus’ blood, His cross, death and His resurrection!
I don’t deserve anything, all of our righteousness are like filthy rags, but when you really look at Him you will understand that it is not by your own worth. It is through His blood that miracles happen, His blood will save my family, His suffering on the cross can bring healing to my life.
Worthy is the Lamb!
Miracles are not for those who deserve them; they’re for those who believe! Miracles are not for those who need them! Miracles are for those who believe!
It is not your need that will generate the miracle, it is your faith!
God is happy to give us things. God loves you and He wants to give you gifts! God loves you so much!
“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:32 NIV
God loves you, if He gave us His own son, would He not graciously give us all things? All things.
God listens to the one who has faith, God wants to do it, but He needs you to believe! Because, without faith it is impossible to please God.
Today God sent me here to awaken your faith. Stop paying attention to the things you’re seeing, but look to the things you don’t see.
It’s time for believers to be better believers! Our faith is supernatural! It is not rational, it is spiritual. Just believe and you will see the glory of God!
Believe and God will send angels to bring revelation and answers to you.
Believe and God will send someone to pray for your illness. Believe and God will send people to help you and bring you the answers you need. Believe and God will open doors for jobs.
Believe, because everything is possible for those who believe. Awake you who sleep and be a man, a woman, a child of faith, be a believer and you will see the supernatural of God.
God has His will and we can never go against His will. Where and how could we learn about God’s will? By studying his His Word: The Bible.
“God’s will is good, pleasing and perfect.”
Romans 12:2 NIV
Gods will is good and not bad, it is perfect and it’s always the best for us.
Would you like to know what God’s plans for your life are?
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
I’m here to say that God has good plans for your life, not bad plans. Plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope! If you’ve lost hope I’m here to say: He wants to help you and give you hope and great future.
No matter what you face today, there are some sure things that never change. You must remind yourself of these things, especially when you hit challenging times.
You have to really hold on to it. There a lot of things I don’t understand and and I don’t know why they happen. But this is what I know about God and this is what I constantly remind myself of;
Number one : He is Good ! He is never mean, He is not angry, He is Good!
Number two: He really loves me, He loves you, He knows everything about you and He loves you!
Number three: He is faithful! You can trust Him because He is faithful to all those who seek and love Him.
He’s Good , He loves me , He’s faithful!
It doesn’t matter what you are going through, because He loves you and you love Him; don’t ever forget that He is working all things together for our good.
God is saying to you: I’m working all things together for your good.
He is a loving God who is working all things, the tragedies, the suffering, the pain, the doubts, the uncertainties!
He’s still good, He’s still faithful, He still loves me and He still working it for our good. I believe it! That’s why Jesus said: In this world you will have troubles and tribulation but you will overcome them.
Do you believe that?
Jesus said :
“I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved. They will be able to come in and go out. They will find everything they need. A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life—life that is full and good. “I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.”
John 10:9-11 ERV
Religion is not the gate, Jesus said I am the gate , I am the way , I am the truth and the life.
Jesus said you will find everything you need in Me. I’m the good shepherd and I want to take care of you.
But there is a thief, an enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy! I’m here to say to you that despite that, God is always God , He loves you and has good plans for you.
You may be asking: if God loves me why have I suffered, why did I get so hurt, why have I lost people that I love, why did my parents get divorced, why is there so much suffering in this world, why so many wars, so many people being abused??
I’m here to say that all of that is not God’s plan! Jesus said that the enemy , the devil one comes to kill, steal and destroy but I came to give you life, a life that is full and good.
All the suffering in this world is consequences of sin. God created this world perfectly and pure, but He also gave free will to men and women. God didn’t create robots with a program to obey Him. God gave you and me free will and all our suffering is thus consequences of sin.
God has His will that is good, perfect and pleasing! God has good plans for your life, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God has His a will, He has good plans for you, but He will not force you to serve Him, He will not get you to obey Him out of force.
Years ago my life was destroyed, I was a young man that took many wrong paths and I suffered and I was dying: the enemy tried to kill and destroy me. But I had an encounter with Jesus and my life was transformed and today I have a family and I have a great life; Jesus said: I came to give life—life that is full and good.
I’m not teaching you about religion, I’m teaching you about relationship with the good shepherd!
Jesus is inviting you : Come to me, repent from your sins , give me your life and you will be saved and will experience a life of miracles.
May the Lord bless you !
