Last week I shared a message about God’s Supernatural, and today I want to share the second part of this message
Today’s Message: Wait for the Supernatural! Part 2
Why am I preaching this message?
Because God sent me to challenge His Church to start believing in greater things again!
I believe that the true Church of Jesus will be a strong, revived church that will live in the supernatural and will reach all the nations!
We need to wake up from our spiritual slumber and start seeking God and His presence, because the supernatural comes with the presence of God.
I arrived from Brazil weeks ago and it was beautiful to see Jesus healing, delivering, and saving so many people. In all the churches that we preached the word of God we saw miracles: instant healings of bones, short legs growing, cripples who could not walk started walking, eye sights were restored, people were freed from demons and the greatest of miracles: hundreds of people accepted Jesus, were born again and were saved.
I believe that God does not have favourites! What is happening in Brazil will happen here too. Ireland will be visited by God, Monaghan will be visited by God, your house and your family will be visited by God and God will use your life to save your family, your friends and your neighbours.
The primitive church was a church that moved in the supernatural and Jesus said that the supernatural will follow those who believe!
15 “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”Mark 16:15, 17-18 NKJV
Questions:
Is casting out demons something natural or supernatural? Is speaking in tongues something natural or supernatural? Is trampling on serpents and scorpions something natural or supernatural?
Is laying your hands on the sick and healing them something natural or supernatural?
These signs will follow those who believe! How many here believe in Jesus?
These signs need to go follow you in your life! God is calling us to a supernatural life !
The supernatural has to be something normal in the life of the Christian.
Testimony: When I arrived at my mother’s house (in Brazil) she was very sick. On Sunday she had severe back pain and was in bed and couldn’t walk.
I asked: Can I pray for you? She said: Please pray that I will be healed. So I prayed and she got up, took a shower, went to church and the back pains didn’t come back!
God wants to use your life to manifest the supernatural!
Our assignment has never been about what we can do for God, but what God can do through us. That is the essence of the gospel: to do exactly as Jesus did and destroy the works of the devil.
God wants to use you to bless, save people and destroy the devil’s works, and this is something supernatural!
But most Christians choose to live an ordinary life, not a supernatural one. Many Christians live just like unbelievers and atheists.
The way they speak, the way they face problems, the way they go through illnesses, the way they live their everyday life is just as an unbeliever would.
We see Christians who live in dependence of this world, in the dependence of the government, in the dependence of the systems of this world and do not experience the supernatural, because they are not waiting or looking for the supernatural.
I told you last week that :
The worst thing in a Christian’s life is when they become a Christian that lives a “natural” Christian life, without experiencing the supernatural!
A regular Christian life should be a supernatural life, but unfortunately the life of many Christians have become natural lives, without the supernatural of God.
If we do not seek the supernatural as Christians, we have nothing to offer the non-Christians except religion, and True Christianity is not a religion.
The Bible says that supernatural things are foolishness to people who are natural. Spiritual people are those who believe and experience the supernatural, because they are seeking it!
Christian life should be supernatural from the beginning! Your salvation is something supernatural! Salvation is a supernatural work of God!
If you are Baptised in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues (that should be for every Christian), that is supernatural!
If you have the Holy Spirit (who is God) in you, this is supernatural!
Can you imagine, God himself living inside of you, guiding you and using you?
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””
Acts of the Apostles 1:8 NLT
You received holy power when the Holy Spirit came upon you!
Power for what? To be a witness, to preach the gospel, to heal the sick, to save the lost, to cast out demons…
“Jesus sent out His disciples with these instructions: “Don’t go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans, Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!”
Matthew 10:5, 8 NLT
Can I ask you: Is this what Jesus ordered us to do is natural or supernatural? are you living a natural, ordinary life or a supernatural one?
Are you truly Jesus’ disciple?
Then go and heal the sick, cure those with leprosy and cast out demons!
Do you know why we don’t see the supernatural? Because we are not going for it! Jesus said: GO ! We’re not expecting the supernatural.
When we obey and go, He goes with us and we experience the supernatural.
““I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”
John 14:12 NLT
A relevant church is a Bible-following church that obeys the command to ‘Go’ given by Jesus.
The Bible is the word of God and it is a supernatural book!
Bible stories are supernatural stories!
Jesus called us to live this supernatural life with Him.
“Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.”
Romans 15:4 NLT
Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, and to give us Hope and encouragement as we wait for the supernatural!
Let’s read about David and Goliath
“David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! 50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword.”
1 Samuel 17:45-46, 50 NLT
Does this sound ordinary or supernatural to you? A small, young man killing a great and experienced soldier!
This was written to teach you that You will face many battles in life, that the Christian life is not easy, and that you should not trust your own strength and talent but rather have faith and trust in God.
You must not be afraid to face the enemy and you have to face him using the authority of the name of Jesus.
Let’s see another supernatural battle:
“So one night the king of Syria sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city. When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 2 Kings 6:14-16
We see here another battle; the king of Syria came against Israel and thousands of Syrian soldiers with chariots and horses were surrounding the man of God and his disciple.
The disciple wakes up in the morning, goes to Elisha and says: We are lost and we are going to die!
The prophet said: Don’t be afraid! Because those who are with us are more than those who are with them!
He looks around, sees thousands of enemy soldiers and only 2 of them (Elisha and himself) and he thinks: My leader is crazy!
“Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.”
2 Kings 6:17 NLT
Beloved, we are in a spiritual battle, but many Christians are blind to it! Because they can’t see the spiritual world!
Like many believers today, the servant could only see the natural world in front of him! Many believers are fighting naturally AND can’t see the spiritual world that surrounds them! Because they don’t have a life of prayer, or because they don’t believe in the supernatural, they are living a basic, natural life.
The mountain was full of Angels and chariots of fire, all around the servant, but he was blind and saw nothing.
“As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So He struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.” 2 Kings 6:18
Because Elisha had an understanding of the spiritual realm, and believed in the supernatural, he prayed and God moved supernaturally!
Let’s see the action of the angels:
“For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.”Psalms 34:7 NLT
“Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.” Hebrews 1:14 NLT
We see all throughout the Old and New Testament the Angels of God working in favour of Christians! But nowadays we don’t hear any more testimonies, because everything became natural!
Let’s read about your battle:
“Put on all of God’s armour so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:11-12 NLT
Stop fighting against people, your fight is not against your spouse, against your son/daughter, against your father, your mother, against your boss or your neighbour, but against the dark forces that are acting in the lives of these people!
“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” 1 John 5:4-5 NLT
Everyone who is a child of God has the power to win against the world. It is our faith that won the victory against the world!
We are in a supernatural battle, we are at war and you need to up spiritually wake up, you need to return to prayer, to believe again, to use your faith, because this is the victory that conquers the world, our Faith!
