Supernatural Faith [Part 3]

We are in our series “Supernatural Faith”, and today I want to share with you another fundamental truth of our faith: The Power and Authority of our Words.

Let me start with a very simple question.

How many here believe that God is powerful to do the impossible? How many believe that God can heal, restore, open doors, transform any situation?

All of us have faith in God. All of us believe in our hearts. But there is a problem that many do not realise.

Our FAITH needs to be aligned with our WORDS.

Because the Bible says in Gospel of Matthew

“Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” Matthew 12:34

In other words, what you speak reveals what is truly inside you. And here is the point that may confront many of us today:

You may say you have faith, but your words may be saying something else!

You believe in your heart… but speak defeat. You believe in the miracle… but declare impossibility.

And I want to tell you something very serious today:

Your words may be preventing you from experiencing the supernatural of God.

It is not that God cannot do it. It is not that God does not want to do it. But there is a misalignment between what you believe and what you speak.

And when the faith of the heart does not find agreement in the mouth… the supernatural is not activated.

Today God wants to align your Faith with your Words.

Because when “Faith and Confession” walk together, the impossible begins to happen.

Our words have the power to build or destroy, to bless or to curse, to express faith or doubt. They are seeds that we plant in the soil of our lives and in the lives around us.

Words Are the Mirror of the Soul

The great evangelist Charles Spurgeon wisely said:

“Words are the garments of our thoughts.”

Charles Spurgeon

What does this mean for each of us here? It means that:

What we speak is the visible and audible manifestation of what truly lives in our hearts and minds.

If our inner being is full of faith in God, our words will be clothed with hope and confidence. If there is doubt, unfortunately, it will be revealed in our speech.

True faith is not only in the heart — it must come out through the mouth. If your faith does not speak, it does not activate the supernatural.

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10

Many people say: “I have faith.” But they live saying: Nothing works out for me. I don’t think I will make it. My life is over.

This reveals a dangerous misalignment. The heart believes, but the mouth is destroying.

Pay attention to this: God does not respond only to what you feel. He responds to what you declare in faith.

Epistle of James gives us a powerful illustration about this:

“Take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts.” James 3:4-5

Think about this for a moment. A huge ship, being pushed by strong winds… waves… storms… But all of it is controlled by a small piece called a “rudder”.

The rudder defines the destiny of the ship. It is not the size of the ship. It is not the strength of the wind. It is not the circumstances. It is the rudder.

Now understand this spiritually:

Your life is that ship. Your faith is the force that moves you. But your mouth is the rudder. And What you speak is defining where your life is going.

You may have faith. You may love God. You may even be full of promises. But if your mouth is pointing in the wrong direction, your life will go to the wrong destination.

There are people with faith to live a miracle, but they are declaring defeat every day.

There are people with God’s promises, but they are speaking fear, doubt, unbelief, speaking badly about people, about their husband, their children, their church, their brothers and sisters — and they will receive the fruit of their words.

God gave us two hands, two feet, two legs, two eyes, two ears… but only one mouth — so that we speak less and listen more. We need to learn to speak less and listen more!

And just as the rudder directs the ship, your words are directing your destiny. Today God wants to align your “rudder”.

Because when your mouth begins to speak Faith, your destiny begins to change. And when your tongue aligns with the Word of God, the supernatural stops being theory and starts becoming reality in your life.

First point: THE MOUTH ACTIVATES FAITH.

Romans 10:10 says:

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:10

Faith is not complete until it is declared.

Gospel of Mark chapter 11 says:

“Truly I tell you, if anyone SAYS to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” Mark 11:23

Jesus did not say, “whoever feels”.

He did not say, “whoever thinks”.

He did not say, “whoever pushes their mountain”.

He did not say, “whoever has faith in their heart”. He said: WHOEVER SAYS.

Miracles begin when WORDS of FAITH are released.

Now let us look at biblical examples. First, positive biblical examples.

  1. Little David before the giant Goliath, in 1 Samuel 17.
“David SAID to the Philistine, ‘You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty…’” 1 Samuel 17:45

Before he won, he declared. David did not speak fear. He spoke destiny.

  1. The woman with the issue of blood, in Mark 5.
“She kept SAYING to herself, ‘If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed.’” Mark 5:28

She spoke before the miracle. The healing began in her mouth before it reached her body.

  1. Abraham, who could not have children, in Romans 4.
“As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.  Romans 4:17

God changed his name, changed his confession. Every time someone said “Abraham”, they were declaring the impossible.

Now let us look at negative biblical examples.

  1. The ten spies, in Numbers 13:31
“We cannot attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” Numbers 13:31
After spying out the Promised Land, ten of the twelve spies spoke words of unbelief: “We cannot attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” They received the promise, saw the promise with their eyes, but died in the wilderness without receiving it. Words of fear cancelled their destiny.

  1. Zechariah, in Luke 1:20
An angel appeared to him and said: you will have a son.

“You will be silent and not able to speak… because you did not believe my words…” Luke 1:20

God promised, but he responded with doubt.

Result: he became mute. God silenced his mouth to protect the miracle.

  1. The people of Israel, in Numbers 14:28:
“I will do to you the very thing I heard you say.” Numbers 14:28

They said: we will die in the desert. And God said: then that is exactly what will happen.

Be careful: God may allow what you insist on declaring with your mouth.

Proverbs 18:21 says:

“The tongue has the power of life and death…” Proverbs 18:21

Your mouth is not neutral. It either releases life or releases death. Every word is a spiritual seed. Your words are seeds that will produce good or bad fruit.

You cannot have a positive life and a negative mouth. A mouth that is constantly full of murmuring, pessimism and criticism will never build a life of victory, joy and fullness in Christ.

Your words have the power to give life to the direction your life is taking.

Every word we speak, we are in fact prophesying our own future.

Pay attention to this:

Faith in the heart without confession is incomplete faith. Confession without faith is empty religion.

Your Faith aligned with words releases the supernatural.

Reinhard Bonnke, who preached with such fire and power, said:

“The Word of God in your mouth is as powerful as the Word of God in God’s mouth.” Reinhard Bonnke

The Word of God in your mouth is the Word of God. When we, God’s people, declare His Word, it is God Himself speaking through us, with all His power, majesty and heavenly authority!

What a privilege and what a responsibility.

Your Words Shape Your Future

The respected pastor Kenneth E. Hagin reminded us of a practical and profound truth:

“You will have what you say — whether faith or doubt.” Kenneth E. Hagin

Think about this: your mouth is much more than a means of communication; it is a tool for building your future. With every word we speak, we are prophesying — whether life or death, victory or defeat, blessing or lack. What kind of future are you building today with the words that come out of your lips?

Keep this in your heart: Your Faith defines what you believe. But your words determine what you live.

Today you need to make a decision. Stop speaking defeat. Stop negative criticism. Begin to declare Faith.

I want to give you a challenge: For the next seven days, do not speak anything negative about your life, your children, your spouse, your brothers and sisters, your church, your health, your city or your spiritual life.

Declare the Word every day. Declare:

– My household will be saved.

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” — Acts 16:31

– My family and I will serve the Lord.

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15

– I will live what God has promised.

“He who promised is faithful.” — Hebrews 10:23

– The impossible will happen.

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” — Luke 1:37

– I am healed and restored.

“By His wounds we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:5

– In Christ Jesus I am more than a conqueror.

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” — Romans 8:37

– I will fulfil my ministry in this church.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7

I will be used by God.

“Here am I. Send me!” — Isaiah 6:8

– One day I will reach Heaven.

“I go to prepare a place for you… that you also may be where I am.” — John 14:2–3

– I will be received by God as a good and faithful servant.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23

Now I ask you a direct question:

What have you been speaking about your life? About your spouse, your children, your future, your church, your health, your spiritual and ministerial life?

Today is the day to repent of negative words. To repent of words that go against the Word and the promises of God.

Today is the day to align your mouth with your faith. To begin to declare life, health, blessings. Declare what you want and stop declaring what you do not have — because that is murmuring.

Declare what you want and stop declaring what you are seeing!

Let this be your prayer: Lord, purify my mouth, align my words with Your will and activate faith in what I declare.

God bless you and see you in the next message on Supernatural Faith.
