Supernatural Faith [Part 4]

In our last message on “Supernatural Faith”, I shared about the impactful truth that “Your Mouth Is Defining Your Destiny”. We saw that words are the rudder that steers our lives, and that the faith of the heart needs to find agreement in the mouth to activate the supernatural.

We learned that our mouth is not neutral; it releases life and death, blessing and curse. Proverbs 18:21 says: Death and Life are in the power of the Tongue!

If death and life are in the power of the tongue, then faith and fear are also in the power of the tongue.

Some of you are asking God for a miracle, but your mouth is working against what you are praying for.

Are you speaking about life or death? Are you speaking about victory or defeat? God’s Word is full of power, but it is your words, your confessions that unlock this power in your life.

Some of you are living today in a harvest you didn’t realise you planted. The words you spoke in fear…. are now the life you are seeing

Today, I want to take a step further. How can we fill our hearts in such a way that our words become vehicles of God’s supernatural?

That’s why the title of our message today is:

“The Power of a Mouth Full of Faith.”

It’s not about having a noisy mouth or a mouth full of empty words, but a mouth full of faith – a mouth that declares God’s truth with unwavering conviction. When our mouth is full of faith, it becomes a creative instrument in God’s hands, capable of calling into existence what does not yet exist, of transforming the invisible into the visible, of manifesting the miracles that the Lord has already set in store for us.

Your mouth is the address of your future.

If the mouth speaks from what the heart is full of (Matthew 12:34), then the natural question that arises is: How do I fill my heart with faith so that my mouth declares the supernatural?

Today, God wants to teach us how to nourish the source of our words and release the power that creates our supernatural reality!

  • Feeding the Source: Filling the Heart with the Word of God

In the previous message, we made it clear that “the mouth speaks from what the heart is full of”.

Faith in the heart is invisible, but faith in the mouth creates reality.

Many of us want to start speaking words of faith, but we struggle because our hearts seem to be full of anxiety, fear, worry, or even the negative voices of the world.

You cannot speak fear and expect a life of faith.

How, then, can we ensure that the source – our heart – is overflowing with the Word of God, so that our words become rivers of living water?

2- Deep Meditation on Scripture

It’s not enough to simply read the Bible. The Word needs to be broken down, digested, meditated upon. Psalm 1:2-3 tells us:

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and whose leaf does not wither; and whatever he does will prosper.” Psalm 1:2-3

Meditating on the Word means stopping, reflecting on what it says, asking yourself: “How does this apply to my life? What does God want to show me here?” Let the Word penetrate every fibre of your being. When the Word becomes a part of you, it will naturally flow from your mouth.

3- Hearing and Re-hearing the Word of Faith:

Romans 10:17 is clear:

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

If last week we spoke about “speaking less and listening more”, today we connect that “listening” directly with the Word of God. Listening to good sermons, Bible studies, praises that exalt the Word, and above all, listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit who reminds us of God’s promises. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The more you hear the Word, the more faith you have. The more faith you have, the more you can confess. The more you hear the Word of God, the more your faith grows, takes root in your heart, and your words become declarations of faith.

4- Hiding the Word in Your Heart

As David said:

“I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”Psalm 119:11

Hiding the Word here is more than just memorising; it is making it your non-negotiable truth. It is having the Word as the lens you use to see the world, it becomes your answer to every challenge. When you hide the Word in your heart, it becomes the reservoir from which your words of faith flow, even in storms. When our heart is saturated with the Word of God, we don’t have to “try” to speak faith. It simply overflows. Our words become a natural reflection of what God has already sown in us.

5- Calling the Non-Existent into Existence

The apostle Paul, speaking of Abraham, reveals this creative dimension:

“…the God who gives life to the dead and calls into existence things that do not exist, as though they did.” Romans 4:17b

Abraham didn’t just “not doubt”; he called something that didn’t exist (a son, a numerous offspring) as though it already existed. He was prophesying his future reality.

Some years ago, when we arrived in Monaghan, we had nothing. No ministry. No worship team, no leaders. We didn’t even have the language. But we had one thing — a heart and mouth full of faith.

And we made a decision: we would not speak what we saw, we would speak what God said. So we began to call into existence what did not exist.

We declared: “There will be a church in Monaghan, Ireland.” And today, by the grace of God, that church is alive, growing, and recognised all over the town. This is calling things into existence.

6- Our Words, Tools for Spiritual Building

Your words are not just sounds that disappear into the air. Your Words are seeds that, when watered by faith, will produce a harvest in due time. They are spiritual tools that build bridges, open doors, and release God’s power in the natural world.

Words are containers. They carry faith or fear, and they produce according to their kind. Words are not empty; they are vehicles that carry spiritual force. They have the power to materialise what you are declaring, whether faith (life) or fear (death).

Plant these seeds:

About your family: Instead of talking about your spouse’s or children’s problems, speak God’s promise over them! “My husband/my wife is blessed and serves the Lord!” , “My children are arrows in the hand of the warrior and fulfil God’s purpose!”

About your church (Shalom Ireland): Don’t grumble about challenges. Declare growth, unity, anointing! “Shalom Ireland Church grows in grace and knowledge; we are a beacon for this nation!”

  • About Ireland: Stop complaining about the country you live in! Stop criticising the weather, and the rain, and give thanks to God because there is no shortage of water and no extreme weather! Instead of lamenting spiritual coldness, declare revival! “Ireland, you will know the Lord Jesus! Hearts will turn to the Lord! There will be a harvest of souls in this nation! Shalom Ireland will be a nursery of missionaries and church planters in Ireland and Europe.”

When we declare God’s Word in faith, we are releasing spiritual forces that operate in the invisible realm, preparing the ground for visible manifestation.  Our words are the “seeds” of the future God has for us.

Our words are seeds that, when watered by faith, grow and become reality.

7- The Persistence of Spoken Faith: When the Mountain Takes Time to Move

We will all experience moments when we declare the Word, believe with all our heart, but the mountain seems not to move immediately. Circumstances persist, and waiting can tempt us to doubt.

8- Don’t Give Up Your Confession

James warns us about the instability of doubt:

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.” James 1:6-7

If you have already released the word of faith, hold onto it! Remain firm in your declaration.

Faith is not just saying it once, but keeping the word spoken, even when natural eyes don’t see the change. The consistency of your confession is a proof of faith.

9- God’s Timing and the Seed of the Word

A planted seed does not sprout the next day. It needs time to germinate, grow, and bear fruit.

A farmer never plants a seed today and expects fruit tomorrow. But many believers speak one word of faith… and give up before the harvest comes.

Your word of faith is a spiritual seed. God is faithful to fulfil His word, but He operates in His time and His way. Don’t confuse waiting with denial. Keep watering your seed with more Word and more confession!

10- Maintain the Joy of Expectation

Nehemiah reminds us: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Joy comes not only when the miracle happens, but in the expectation of the promise. When you declare a promise of God, celebrate it before it manifests. This energises your faith and shows the spiritual realm that you already consider the victory assured!

Faith Challenge for the Next Seven Days

Let’s continue the challenge from the last message, but now with an even more intentional focus on creation and persistence:

  1. Fill the Source Daily: If you haven’t been having daily devotionals, start this week. Dedicate at least 15 minutes a day to meditate on 2 or 3 Bible verses. Ask the Holy Spirit how to apply them. Let them speak to your heart.
  2. Declare Creatively: Choose three areas of your life, your family, or our church (or Ireland!) that you want to see transformed. Make daily declarations of God’s Word over these areas, calling into existence what does not exist, as though it already existed.

Example: “I declare that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, healed by the wounds of Jesus, and I walk in divine health!” “I declare that Ireland is a nation that worships Jesus, and the people of Monaghan are drawn to the light of the Gospel!” “I declare that my household and I will serve the Lord; I did not raise children for destruction or for this world, and all of them will serve the Lord.”

3- Do Not Change Your Confession

If adverse circumstances arise, acknowledge them, but do not give them your voice. Instead of describing the problem, redirect your mouth to declare God’s solution. If the mountain takes time to move, keep speaking for it to move! Today is the day to raise the level of our spoken faith! Let’s fill our hearts with God’s inerrant Word so that our mouths overflow with life and creation.

May Shalom Ireland Church be full of people who not only believe, but who speak their faith and bring into existence what does not exist by the Word of God!

If your words don’t change, your life won’t change.

Today, some of you need to repent – not of actions, but of words. Words of doubt. Words of fear. Words of defeat. Today, God is not just changing your situation – He is changing your mouth.

Prayer: Lord God, in Jesus’ name, I repent of every word of doubt, fear, and pessimism I have uttered. Today, I decide to fill my heart with Your holy Word. May my mouth be an instrument of Your creative power. I declare that I am a creator of spiritual realities, that my family is saved, that my church grows, and that Ireland surrenders to You! I persist in my confession, for I know that Your Word does not return void. May the supernatural manifest in my life and through me, for Your glory!

Amen!
